| Dear Team Captain,
Thank you for making the decision to have an impact on finding the cure for breast cancer by being a team captain for the Susan G. Komen Los Angeles County Race for the Cure®. As you may know, the state funding from Every Woman Counts that helped ensure mammograms and screening for women aged 40 and up has been drastically cut and will only serve women 50 and older. Your fundraising can literally save lives! Remember, your leadership as a team captain can inspire all of your team members to collectively fundraise and in doing so, be agents of change in the breast cancer movement. I hope that you will find the tools and tips linked below helpful. You will join the millions of passionate supporters who have made Komen the largest source of non-profit funds in the fight against breast cancer. Be bold and have your team and your passion stand out in the sea of pink. We encourage you to be unique by ordering your special t-shirts, hats, or other items. This year, we have partnered with Rapt Clothing to make it easy for you to order your team accessories. Rapt Clothing will even provide a percentage of the proceeds to Komen!
