Small Grant Applicants

The purpose of these grants is to creatively and flexibly provide funding, if available, for unexpected program needs or recently designed projects that fulfill the gaps in service objectives and are not part of a present local grant award.  Small grants will be steered in a way that is responsive to community requests.

• Small grants are available on a rolling basis through the entire grant year, and are subject to available funding.
• One small grant award is to be given to a recipient per fiscal year.
  
• No small grant will exceed $2,500 per recipient or have a deliverable beyond 12 months from the beginning of the grant.
  
• Small grant awards may be given to a local grant recipient if unrelated to their local grant project.
  
• Use of small grant funds can include, but is not limited to outreach, conference support and travel scholarships.
  
• Small grants may not be used for fundraising activities or to make small grants to board members or staff.
  
• A contractual agreement will be signed between the small grant recipient and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Los Angeles County Affiliate (SGK, LAC) which stipulates the requirements of funding.
  
• Small grantees must be tax-exempt charitable organizations, and must agree to acknowledge SGK, LAC in materials and presentations.
