Knit for the Cure

Founded in 2004, Knit for the Cure® directly benefits the Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®.  Knit for the Cure® proudly donates 100% of the proceeds to support local breast cancer services and national breast cancer research programs.

Participation is simple!

As volunteers, we understand how busy and hectic everyday schedules can be. So, we are making it easy for you to participate.  We ask crafters to donate a handmade hat, scarf, purse, poncho, blanket, (or really, anything your heart desires) to the cause.  Our only requirement is that the item incorporates the color pink in any shade, shape, or form.

Once your work of art & heart is done, you can drop it off to any of the donation sites found on our website at www.knitforthecure.com, or mail it to the Knit for the Cure® Headquarters located at:

Knit for the Cure®
c/o Los Angeles County Affiliate
11845 W. Olympic Blvd., Suite 645W
Los Angeles, CA 90064
310-575-3011

Of course, we love and appreciate your handmade donations, but if you don't have the time to participate, you can also make an online donation to support Knit for the Cure®, or mail in a donation to the Knit for the Cure® Headquarters address above.  Please earmark your check for Knit for the Cure®!

Since its inception, we have raised more than $25,000 to support breast cancer research and treatment.  Over 10,000 handmade items have been donated to the campaign from across the United States by individuals, knitting guilds, high school knitting clubs, Girls Scout Troupes, and other community groups.  Knit for the Cure® would not be possible without the support and generosity of knitters and crocheters nationwide.  Together, we have made tremendous progress towards eradicating breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by providing funding for research, education, screening and treatment!
