Go Passionately Pink to help save lives! — Just wear pink, have fun and raise money to fight breast cancer. Be inspired by the multitude of ideas right here, or think of your own. There are so many creative ways to have fun and fight breast cancer.
Susan G. Komen for the Cure is dedicated to setting new standards for creative collaboration in the fight against breast cancer.
Our corporate partners provide us with the opportunity to reach people where they live, work, and play. In addition to a financial contribution, each of these organizations have found a unique way to get their customers and employees involved in raising awareness and hope that we will one-day find the cures. We thank them for their commitment to the fight to end breast cancer
The premise is simple: Go pink to fight breast cancer!
How to go Passionately Pink:
1. Get a group of friends or co-workers together to go Passionately Pink for the Cure.
2. Choose a team captain to register your group at passionatelypink.org.
3. Select the date(s) for your Passionately Pink day(s).
4. Plan your event. Dress in crazy pink outfits. Honor a breast cancer survivor with a nice luncheon. The day’s activities are completely up to you!
5. Invite your team members, letting them know to wear pink!
6. Collect donations from each team member on your Passionately Pink day. (Make sure each personal check has your team ID written in the memo area!)
7. Send the donations to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
When your team captain registers your group, he or she will receive a free kit. This kit will include everything you need to get started — event day ideas, a promotional poster, a Passionately Pink guidebook, collectors’ pins that feature the Passionately Pink logo, basic breast health information, a donation reply form, a matching gift checklist and a reply envelope to make it easy to return donations to Komen. You can find additional materials and ideas for your day at passionatelypink.org.
Last year, more than 8,800 businesses, schools, places of worship and social organizations went Passionately Pink for the Cure and generated more than $3 million to fight breast cancer. To help us top 2010, we need your support to reach our goal of raising $4.6 million in 2011. You can play a critical role in creating a world without breast cancer!
All of the net proceeds from Passionately Pink for the Cure go directly to fighting breast cancer. Of the net proceeds, 25 percent goes to funding breast cancer research and 75 percent supports community-based breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs funded by local Komen Affiliates.
Please join us by going Passionately Pink for the Cure! If you have questions about the program or would like to request educational materials or guest speakers, we would love to help! Call the Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure at 310-575-3011.

Be a part of the breast cancer movement by participating in Rally for the Cure, a breast cancer awareness program! Would you like to host an event? Our Affiliate has been the beneficiary of some of the fundraising dollars from this program. Because of the support from Rally for the Cure events in our area, we have been able to make grants to many local organizations. We are here for you and the community.
Rally for the Cure provides a registration packet to get you started on your golf, dining or tennis event. Participants pay a $20 entry fee which enables them to receive the materials Rally provides, i.e. a goody bag, breast cancer awareness materials from Susan G. Komen for the Cure, as well as a pin - designed for Rally for the Cure - featuring the symbolic pink ribbon.
The entry fee also entitles all participants to receive a one-year magazine subscription to a selection of Conde' Nast Publications, helping further the Rally for the Cure mission to disseminate information about breast cancer and reinforce the awareness and early detection messages that save lives.
Now in its 14th year, the program has generated more than $45 million for Komen since its inception.
